My mother, Anna L. Shafer, died on August 18, 2005 at age 80 after a couragous struggle with congestive heart failure. She and my father, Richard (Dick) Shafer raised four children on a farm near Caney, Kansas. We all loved them, and I offer the linked images as a memorial.
Also, my brother Glenn Shafer helped my father write an autobiography in 1988, which is posted on Glenn's web site at http://www.glennshafer.com/personal.html.
